Subjective analysis:
This is the leading-edge extension plane with the extra tabs folded into something a bit more menacing than landing gear. Don't forget to wear eye protection around this device.

Folding instructions:

  • dashed lines indicate valley folds
  • solid lines indicate mountain folds
  • congruent angles are indicated

  1. Classic glider base
    glider base
  2. Fold the edges of the tabs to the centerline.
    tab handling
  3. Fold the edges of the wings to the centerline too.
    wing handling
  4. Fold the tabs out so their leading edges stick out perpendicular to the centerline.
    tab formation
  5. Fold the wings out too.
    wing formation
  6. This is the fold from the origami crane again. Fold them back to the center with the creases parallel to the centerline, then open them out too to form the diamond shape.
    prod generation
  7. Open the diamonds out by pre-creasing the diamond shape outlined and opening up the bottom corner like a box.
    prod generation
  8. Double the diamonds together. Also crease the nose down to prepare for the fuselage formation.
    prod sharpening
  9. Lay the plane flat and the table and carfully pull the fuselage up while letting the wings spread out. Let the creases for the wings intersect at the crease for the nose, allowing the nose to naturally assume a 3D shape.
    fuselage formation
  10. Fold the plane in half to finish creasing the folds for the fuselage. Then pop the tail up. Gently curve the wings out along the faint dotted line to give the wings a dihedral.

  11. Don't try to stick it in people's hair, or you'll lose friends real fast...
