Subjective analysis:
This is my roommate's favorite. Its center of gravity is really close to its center of lift, so it flies really, really slow. Best used near the back of lecture halls and stadiums.

Folding instructions:

  • dashed lines indicate valley folds
  • solid lines indicate mountain folds
  • congruent angles are indicated

  1. This one starts with the classic dart base (which incidentally happens to also be drawn on our paper). Fold the nose section back at the ends of the two triangles.
    dart base
  2. Form the nose and wings by folding the tips of the paper towards the centerline. Don't line the edge up with the centerline, though, so that the nose is still blunt for a few centimeters' length.
    nose formation
  3. Fold the little triangular tip up to "grab the two flaps you just folded in. Now create the fuselage and wings.
    fuselage formation
  4. This craft is probably more stable without the tail folded up, since its center of gravity would be lower without it.
    tail and trim
  5. Here it is without the tail.
